Martha Phillips

Multi-instrumentalist, artist, writer, and producer, Martha Phillips started Incantation Music in the middle of lockdown 3. With the view of creating more space and recognition for queer and gender minority artists in the music industry, Martha uses her experience as an artist (TRUNC) to build a scene for this community in Manchester.

Traversing pop, rock, rap and electronic,  TRUNC is a genre-bending projection of life as a queer and neurodivergent woman.

Incantation works to support this artistic community through live events such as Chipped Polish (Alt-Queer Club Night at Yes) and Louder (Acoustic live music at Feel Good Club), and record releases from local marginalised talent with support from BBC R1, Amazing Radio UK and America, and more.
